Drug and Alcohol Detox at Spirit Mountain Recovery

What first comes to mind when you think about detox? Maybe fears around withdrawal symptoms or the concern that you just don’t have the time to deal with it. Whatever the case may be, detox at a reputable, compassionate treatment center is worth making the time for.

At Spirit Mountain Recovery, the first step in your recovery is for us to help assess whether you will need a medically supervised detox off drugs or alcohol. If detox is recommended, it is a precautionary action to assure your recovery will not be impeded by the effects of a severe withdrawal.

What is Detox Like at Spirit Mountain Recovery?

Your first step towards recovery is detoxing from drugs or alcohol. When you come to Spirit Mountain Recovery, we will evaluate your state of addiction and discuss your detox with you in your initial assessment during the registration process.

If a medically supervised detox is needed, you will be sent to our sister facility who specializes in detox. How long your detox takes usually depends on the type of drug and severity of your addiction, but we usually see people ready to enter our residential program after 3-5 days of detox.

During the detox process, you will be supervised and cared for 24/7 by a medical doctor and nurse. We will also be right there with you to support your detox journey and help make you feel as comfortable as possible.

We’ll also use this time to accomplish a few administrative intake functions with you to help get you ready for full-time treatment once you’ve successfully completed detox.

It’s important for you to know that detox is not treatment. While it gets the drugs or alcohol out of your body, it does not help you fully heal from addiction.

Why Spirit Mountain Recovery?

Don’t leave your detox up to just any treatment center. At Spirit Mountain Recovery, we are able to provide such a compassionate and safe detox program because we’ve personally been on both sides of addiction. We know what works and what doesn’t in detox, and we also know how addiction feels to the families trying to help their loved ones recover.

You can trust that we’re the right place for you or your loved one to detox from drugs or alcohol because:

    • We are Joint Commission certified and fully licensed by the state of Utah. Our Gold Seal of Approval® reflects our commitment to providing safe and effective care.

    • We provide a 2:1 client to staff ratio for hyper-personalized treatment and care.

When you or your loved one has successfully detoxed from drugs or alcohol, the next part of the journey is our residential treatment program. This program includes a combination of evidence-based treatments and an experiential activity regimen that includes activities like hiking, paddle boarding, skiing and much more.

Why? Because recovery is more than just detox and therapy sessions. Recovery is about experiencing fun, inspiring moments that help you realize what a passionate, fulfilling life is like without drugs and alcohol.
