We offer a variety of Day Treatment Programs in Utah. This Day Treatment option for treating drug addiction, alcohol abuse, and co-occurring mental health issues is for male and female adults aged 18 years or older who desire the same level of comprehensiveness and intensity that an Inpatient Residential Program provides, but prefer to arrange for their own housing and other self-maintenance needs while being treated.
Day Treatment Programs typically involve a minimum of twenty (20) hours or more per week of commitment. Days of the week and program times are generally flexible and are arranged to best meet an individual’s needs.
Spirit Mountain’s Day Treatment Program, like its Residential and Intensive Outpatient Programs, begins first by assessing where an individual is in their addiction and then performing a dual diagnosis of any underlying mental health issues that may be contributing to the addictive behavior. At Spirit Mountain, both the addiction and underlying mental health issues are treated simultaneously so as to help assure a complete recovery.
Based on these above assessments, an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) is then developed that will form the basis for treatment. This ITP can be adjusted at any time based on the progress that an individual is or is not making in their treatment. The key is customizing treatment to the specific needs of the individual.
Spirit Mountain Behavioral Health’s professional staff includes a Medical Doctor, Psychiatrist, but we are also able to work in coordination with an individual’s own Medical Doctor to assure that all necessary medicinal needs are accommodated during treatment.
Treatment methods that comprise an individual’s Day Treatment plan typically include evidence-based, or cognitive behavioral types of therapy that may or may not be integrated with spiritual based disciplines or other holistic treatment modalities to assure individual’s the most comprehensive treatment possible. Following are some types of treatment regimens utilized in Day Treatment:
- Individual Therapy
- Group Therapy
- Psychoeducational Instruction
- Equine Assisted Therapy
- Life Skills Instruction
- Neuro Stimulation
- Other Holistic Treatments
